PRS S2 Custom 24-08 electric guitars are made in Stevensville, USA. They differ from the standard Custom 24 models in their electronics, replacing the Push/Pull tone control with two mini coil-tap switches with a wider range of sound settings (the 08 in the name refers to 8 different pickup configurations).

The mahogany body of the S2 Custom 24-08 Black Amber guitar, with its distinctive PRS double-cut design, is adorned with a fancy flamed maple top and gloss lacquer finish. Distinctly beveled body edges promote overall playing ergonomics. A rosewood fingerboard with twenty-four frets is glued to the mahogany neck with Pattern Thin profile. Position markers in the form of mother-of-pearl bird silhouettes facilitate orientation across the fingerboard surface.

A pair of the company's signature humbuckers give the guitar a clean sound with punchy mids. Its character can be adjusted using the volume potentiometers, tone shutter, three-position pickup switch and the aforementioned mini coil-tap switches. So you can turn the full humbucker sound into an authentic single-coil pickup tone in seconds, or combine the two sounds.

Tuning stability is guaranteed by the string mounting in the locking mechanisms (PRS Low Mass Locking), which prevent unwanted string movement, and the company's patented tremolo. The guitar comes in a gig bag.
