The mahogany double-cut body of the McCARTY 594 Vintage Sunburst guitar is adorned with a spectacular maple top. The Shallow Violin carve brings the instrument's playing quality closer to the more expensive American Core Series models. The mahogany neck with Pattern Vintage profile is glued to a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two frets. Of course, the guitar's shorter gauge (625 mm) is embodied in the McCarty 594 model designation (24.594 inches). Position markers in the form of bird silhouettes facilitate orientation around the fingerboard surface.
Two of the company's 2x 58/15 LT "S" humbuckers and push/pull tone potentiometers with split-coil function offer the guitar both an authentic full humbucker sound and a pure single-coil character with a vintage feel. Stable tuning is guaranteed by the string anchoring in the PRS vintage-designed PRS mechanics and two-piece zinc-plated headstock.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
The first model of the McCarty series electric guitar was launched in 1994 and Ted McCarty, Gibson's president from the brand's golden era, played a prominent role in its creation, contributing many valuable tips and manufacturing finesse in his role as a consultant. As a result, the guitars in this series offer an impressive combination of tradition and modern construction techniques.
