The American Vintage II 1977 Telecaster Custom Black electric guitar accurately reproduces the tone and feel of the original Telecaster Custom. The alder body of the guitar is covered in a glossy polyurethane lacquer. The '77 "C" profile neck and Vintage Tall 11-fret fingerboard are made of maple.
The single-coil Pure Vintage '77 Tele and Wide-Range humbucker with CuNiFe magnets (Fender abandoned their use in 1981) offer a truly authentic Fender sound and feel. The character of the tone can be adjusted via two volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position switch located on the top of the body. The strings are mounted in Pure Vintage Fender "F" Stamped tuning machines and through a solid six-saddle stainless steel fingerboard through the body of the guitar. The stylish workmanship is accentuated by details in the form of an extended three-ply pickguard, "Bullet style" neck bracing or a neck plate with Micro-Tilt mechanism for neck adjustment.
The guitar comes in a carrying case.
