The American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster Thinline Aged Natural Electric Guitar accurately reproduces the tone and feel of the originals, combining the semi-hollowbody construction of the Thinline series with the full sound of humbuckers in one body. The guitar's ash body is covered in a gloss polyurethane lacquer. The '72 "C" profile neck and Vintage Tall 11-fret fingerboard are made of maple.
Two Wide-Range humbuckers with CuNiFe magnets (Fender abandoned their use in 1981) offer a truly authentic Fender sound and feel. The character of the tone can be adjusted using the volume potentiometers, tone shutter and three-position switch. The strings are mounted in Pure Vintage Fender "F" Stamped tuning machines and through a solid headstock with six adjustable stainless steel saddles through the body of the guitar. The stylish workmanship is accentuated by details in the form of a four-ply imitation mother-of-pearl pickguard, "Bullet style" neck bracing or a neck plate with Micro-Tilt mechanism for neck adjustment.
The guitar comes in a case.
