ESP FRX electric guitars with their distinctive hard & heavy design are sure to appeal to lovers of metal, harder rock genres and players in general who are not afraid to stand out from the crowd. The body of the E-II FRX/BLK SATIN is made of alder. A three-piece maple neck with a set-thru construction, i.e. a neck recessed deep into the body, is joined by an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by offset position dots and an ESP inlay on the twelfth fret.
Two EMG active humbuckers in the proven 81/60 combination give the guitar a juicy sound ideal for sharply chiseled rock/metal riffs as well as sing-song solos and ultra-fast shred. Its character can be adjusted using the volume potentiometer and the push/pull tone control, where pulling out the potentiometer splits the neck humbucker coils (the "single-coil" closest to the neck is active).
The strings are anchored by Gotoh locking mechanisms and a Floyd Rose Original double-turn tremolo, which you can use to add impressive sound effects to your playing. Locks on the zero fret ensure maximum tuning stability even with frequent use of the lever.
The guitar comes in a case.
ESP has been manufacturing electric guitars since 1984 and its satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera.
