The guitar's alder body is covered in a glossy polyester lacquer. A rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two vintage-size frets and white imitation mother-of-pearl position dots is glued to a bolt-on narrow maple neck with a "Slim C" profile. The shorter gauge (610 mm) and narrower neck (40 mm fretboard width) will please players who prefer more compact guitar shapes.
The combination of a cobbler humbucker and a vintage-style single-coil neck pickup provides the guitar with a spectrum of sounds that covers the more aggressive and softer positions in Nirvana's work. The character of the tone can be shaped using the volume potentiometers, tone shutter, three-position pickup switch and phase in/out switch.
The strings are held in vintage-style tuning machines and a six-saddle Mustang tremolo. The stylish look is accentuated by a four-ply imitation pearl pickguard and logo on the headstock.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
