Electric guitars from the AZ series represent a pleasant revival of the Ibanez catalogue. It offers the classic round neck and balanced asymmetrical body of the Super ST models.
The body of the AZ2204N is made of alder. The maple neck is glued to a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Jumbo-size stainless steel frets with Prestige fret edge treatment. The S-TECH treatment improves the stability, durability, resistance to water and temperature fluctuations, while giving the guitar the look and feel of a mature/played instrument. The fingerboard's compound radius flattens towards the body - allowing for comfortable chord playing at the zero fret as well as comfortable fast shred. Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by mother-of-pearl position dots and luminescent markers on the side.
The Seymour Duncan Fortuna pickups offer a mellower output and a natural clean dynamic sound that reflects even the finest nuances of your playing. The dyna-MIX 9 pickup switching system (five-position blade switch and two-position alter switch) offers nine different pickup wiring options, including split humbucker coils or single-coil series wiring.
The strings are held in place via an impregnated bone fretboard in the Gotoh T1702B non-recessed tremolo and Gotoh Magnum Lock locking tuning mechanisms, which ensure tuning stability even with frequent lever use. The H. A. P (Height Adjustable Post) allows you to adjust the height of the string pin to achieve the ideal string tension.
