The body of the guitar is made of alder. Thanks to the ergonomic shape of the back of the body, the guitar fits naturally in your hand. The fingerboard is fitted with Jumbo size stainless steel frets, its rounded edges give players a more comfortable grip on the neck. Orientation is made easier by black position dots and luminescent markers on the side of the fingerboard.
Seymour Duncan Hyperion passive pickups with Alnico 5 magnets give the instrument a balanced sound with a milder output signal. As a result, sound clarity and punch dynamics are maintained even with hi-gain distortion. The dyna-MIX 9 pickup switching system (five-position blade switch and two-position alter switch) offers nine different pickup wiring options, including split humbucker coils or single-coil series wiring. The strings are mounted in an Ibanez T1802 single-coil tremolo with titanium saddles. Tuning stability even with frequent use of the tremolo lever is guaranteed by high-quality Gotoh Magnum Lock mechanics and an impregnated bone fretboard.
The guitar is supplied in a case.
The Prestige represents the second highest quality line in the Ibanez range. These are instruments with superior craftsmanship, sound and playability manufactured right here in Japan. Their final form is a combination of the latest hi-tech manufacturing techniques and traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
