Squier Affinity Series electric guitars represent Fender's most popular electric guitar designs at a fraction of the price of the originals. This makes them the ideal choice for aspiring guitarists and musicians who would like to get a Stratocaster, Telecaster or Jazzmaster but don't want to invest a huge amount of money in buying one.
At first glance, the Affinity Series Stratocaster FMT HSS stands out from the crowd of less expensive Strat models with its spectacular veneer of figured maple on a poplar body with a pattern backed up by a colour finish. The neck and fingerboard are made of maple. Twenty-one Medium Jumbo frets and black position dots divide the fingerboard surface. A pleasant narrower "C" profile of the neck ensures comfortable movement of the hand on the fingerboard and good fingerboard feel.
The combination of the company's ceramic magnet humbucker and two single-coil pickups gives the guitar a wide range of tones, so you can try out whether classic rock 'n' roll, country, blues or more modern rock is more to your taste. The character of the sound can be shaped with a volume potentiometer, two tone controls and a five-position pickup switch. The strings are anchored in the company's chrome tuning machines and traditional synchronized tremolo with two-point attachment.
