This bass is based on the historic EB-0 model from the late 1950s, but with modern features and improvements. The bass features a shortened menza, which is one of the essential aspects of its powerful, sought-after sound that stands out brilliantly in recordings.
The double-cutaway body is made of mahogany, while the glued neck is made of maple. The body and neck are perfectly balanced, so the instrument will provide comfort both sitting and standing. The fingerboard is rosewood and features 20 medium jumbo frets. A matte nitro lacquer finish is used to finish the instrument.
As far as the electronics are concerned, the instrument is equipped with a single LP BassBucker pickup that has a very wide sound range. You can then control the sound with one potentiometer for volume and one potentiometer for tone shutter. You can also use the volume potentiometer to push/pull the pickup apart for even more sonic variability.
Last but not least, the instrument features tuning machines from the renowned Hipshot company or a Graph Tech zero fret. The instrument comes in a padded gig bag.
