Epiphone's Les Paul electric guitars have been a more affordable alternative to Gibson originals for decades. The Les Paul Classic line offers guitars that take their design cues from the Les Paul Standard models of the late 1950s, with open-coil "zebra" humbuckers and modern push/pull potentiometer functions.
The mahogany body of the Les Paul Classic Ebony is complemented by a maple veneer top. The mahogany neck with SlimTaper profile is glued to a fig fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by position blocks.
Two factory Alnico Classic Pro humbuckers give your guitar sound the punch, fullness and warmth you need. The character of the sound can be adjusted with two volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch. The guitar's sonic arsenal is expanded by the push/pull functions of the potentiometers, which change the humbuckers' sound to a single-coil character (coil-split) in seconds, plus you can plug the pickups (at the switch's center position) out of phase (phase switching).
Fast and accurate tuning and good sustain are ensured by high-quality Grover gears with 18:1 gear ratio and Locktone stringers. The stylish look is accentuated by cream body and fingerboard binding, bright pickguard and logo on the headstock.
