Since its introduction in 1937, the Gibson Super Jumbo SJ-200 has been one of the most popular models of acoustic guitars to this day, earning it the title "the King of the Flat-Tops".
The front of the SJ-200 Original is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of solid flamed maple with a distinctive wood grain. The resonance of the top is supported by hand-cut X-type ribbing. The two-piece maple neck is glued to a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty Standard-size frets. Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by decorative mother-of-pearl Graduated Crowns.
The strings are held in Gotoh Keystone tuning machines and a rosewood Moustache fingerboard inlaid with mother-of-pearl blocks over the bone fret and saddle frets. The stylish finish is accentuated by the multi-layered double-sided body binding, gold hardware and ornate "SJ-200" pickguard.
The L.R. Baggs VTC electronics ensure a high quality sound system that preserves the natural acoustic tone. The guitar is supplied in a case. A set of accessories is included.
