GIBSON ES-339 Figured Blueberry Burst

The ES-339 Figured is a modern take on a classic for guitarists who are enamored with the tone and design of the famous ES-335 semi-hollowbody model, but are also looking for a guitar with a smaller body and weight.

The body of the guitar is made of layered maple and poplar (AAA quality figured maple veneers, middle layers of poplar and maple again), complemented by a solid maple center block. The instrument's sonic qualities and excellent sustain are supported by spruce ribbing and a thin finish in the form of a nitrocellulose lacquer that allows the wood to breathe. A rosewood fingerboard with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets is glued to a mahogany neck with a traditional Rounded C profile. Position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl facilitate orientation on its surface.

The company's 57 Classic/Classic Plus humbuckers were built to the same specifications as the original Gibson PAF pickups, giving the guitar complete sonic versatility. From jazz to country to blues/rock; everywhere this instrument will feel at home. Two volume knobs, tone controls, and a three-position ý pickup switch are used for sonic corrections.

Stability of tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by the attachment of the strings via the GraphTech zero fret in the Grover Rotomatics mechanism and via the ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge in the stringers. The stylish look is accentuated by the black five-ply pickguard, nickel hardware, cream trim and logo on the headstock.
