GIBSON ES-335 Figured Sixties Cherry

Gibson ES-335 Figured guitars will appeal to true music connoisseurs. The design, sound and overall feel honour the long tradition of the ES-335 semi-hollowbody guitars from the brand, while offering improvements to meet the needs of today's guitarists, especially in terms of playing comfort.

The guitar's body is made of laminated maple and poplar (AAA-quality figured maple veneers, poplar middle layers and maple again), complemented by a solid maple center block. The instrument's sonic qualities and excellent sustain are enhanced by Adirondack spruce ribbing and a thin finish in the form of a nitrocellulose lacquer that allows the wood to breathe. A rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets is glued to a hand-shaped mahogany neck. Positioning blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl facilitate orientation on its surface.

Calibrated T-Type humbuckers give the guitar a sound that will stand out in a wide range of musical genres. From jazz to country to blues/rock; everywhere this instrument will feel at home. Two volume knobs, two tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used for sound corrections.

Tuning stability and good sustain are guaranteed by the GraphTech zero-fret string attachment in the Vintage Deluxe mechanism with Keystone pegs and the ABR-1 TOM bridge in the stringers. The stylish impression is accentuated by the black five-ply pickguard, nickel hardware, cream binding and logo on the headstock.
