Lean sound
To help you achieve the best possible recording quality, the Model 16 has many enhancements that couldn't be easier. You'll find a TAP TEMPO metronome, a separate compressor for each channel, and sixteen studio-quality effects to enhance the color of the input signal, such as Delay, Chorus, Flanger, and several types of reverb.

A control panel that can launch a space shuttle
A clear control panel is essential for success, and the engineers at TASCAM are clearly aware of this. You'll have colour-coded rotary knobs with which to adjust the mix, set the effect level, compressor or adjust the frequency settings of the input signal via the three-band EQ. Detailed volume adjustment is then made possible by the motorised 60mm faders. You get a great overview of your recording progress via the clear display, which you control via the Multi-Jog knob.

Connectors everywhere you look
The connector panel offers a truly beautiful spectacle, with twelve XLR/Jack inputs, of which channels 1-8 feature Ultra-HDDA microphone preamps, while channels 13-14 are used to connect smartphones or music players, where you can use Bluetooth technology or a classic audio or RCA cable connection. You can then use the XLR/Jack stereo outputs to connect to other equipment or PA systems, and the headphone output also provides detailed monitoring during recording and final mixing. Communication with PC, laptop and DAW software is via the USB-B port.
