The FG830 guitars are made of solid Sitka spruce for the front, and rosewood for the back and sides. Acoustic performance is elevated to a higher level by a new design of reduced X front plate ribbing, which gives the guitar a stronger louder response in the lower midrange frequencies.
Glued to the nato neck is a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty frets. Tuning stability is guaranteed by the string attachment through the Urea plastic saddle and zero frets in the company's Die-Cast tuning machines and rosewood fingerboard. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by a cream body binding, a rosette consisting of a pearl ring (Abalone) and black and white lines, and a practical pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell.
