JACKSON X Series Dinky Arch Top DKAF8 MS LRL SM

The X series of the American brand Jackson is a mid-range electric guitar with a typical corporate design and great playing characteristics, but still at a relatively affordable price. Specifically, the Dinky models offer the popular Superstrat body shape.

The body of this eight-string guitar is made of mahogany. A single-piece maple neck with graphite bracing is bolted to a fig wood fingerboard fitted with twenty-four jumbo-sized frets. The currently popular Multi-scale concept, i.e. fitting the fingerboard with diagonally placed frets, gives the instrument a variable menzatura (660 mm - 711 mm) and the strings optimum tension. In the opinion of some musicians, it also allows a more natural movement of the hand on the fingerboard. The combined radius of the fingerboard then allows both comfortable riffing at the zero fret and comfortable ultra-fast shredding at higher positions.



Two proprietary high-output humbuckers give the guitar a juicy sound and clear articulation even in deep positions to match the sound of core, djent or metal riffs and breakdowns. Volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments. Tuning stability and good intonation are ensured by the strings' attachment in the company's tuning machines and six separate locust saddles with anchoring through the body. The stylish look of the guitar is accentuated by the Stained Mahogany body finish and black hardware.

For several decades, electric guitars from the American Jackson brand have appealed primarily to musicians from metal, metal/core, HC or djent bands who profess a loud sound with a more or less diluted dose of aggression, as evidenced by the company's roster of players. However, the radical metal design can also enchant adventurous musicians from the completely opposite musical spectrum, as evidenced, for example, by Nai Palm of Hiatus Kaiyote, who in turn clearly prove that the sound of Jackson instruments can make its way into genres built on a clean, warm sound.
