In a relatively short period of time, Suhr electric guitars have gained a considerable reputation among top instrumentalists and all musicians with the highest demands for quality workmanship and sound.

The Standard Plus model offers a slightly smaller body and longer horns, giving the guitar a more modern look. The instrument's lime body is adorned with a veneer of flamed maple top with the wood grain enhanced by a Bahama Blue stain. Also glued to the maple neck is a maple fingerboard fitted with twenty-two stainless steel frets (.051 "x.108"). The maple neck and fingerboard were heat-treated (roasted-maple) before the instrument was assembled, giving the wood a more stable and subtly aged appearance. The Even C Slim neck profile and compound fingerboard radius (10-14 inches) also contribute to the instrument's excellent playability.

The combination of two single-coil V60 pickups and a higher output SSH+ humbucker makes the guitar an absolutely versatile instrument that can be used in a wide range of musical styles. It offers everything from classic Strat single-coil bluesy 60's tones to the hi-gain of modern rock - plus, thanks to SSCII technology, it's completely free of the characteristic annoying single-coil noise. Standard sound adjustments include a volume knob, tone control and five-position pickup switch.

Tuning stability, great sustain and fast string changes are guaranteed by the TusQ zero fret string attachment in the company's 18:1 ratio locking gears and Gotoh 510 tremolo.

John Suhr has over 35 years of musical instrument manufacturing experience under his belt, during which time he has made a deep mark on the musical community with the top of the line "Pensa-Suhr" (as guitar builder) guitars and basses that have been played by Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton, Lou Reed and many others in the 80's, or as a Senior Master Builder in the Fender Custom Shop in the 90's. However, John didn't have complete control over the entire manufacturing process, so in 1997 he decided to start his own Suhr brand. So you can be assured of the highest possible standards of quality when it comes to Suhr guitars, basses, instruments or pedal effects. Permanent clients of the Suhr brand include Peter Frampton, Michael Landau, Scott Henderson and Doug Aldrich.
