Marcus Miller, a world-renowned jazz musician, composer, producer, and above all an excellent bassist, joined forces with Sire and over the course of several years created a groundbreaking bass concept that is now coming to our country. What is groundbreaking about this collaboration is not just the bass itself - all components such as development, production and distribution are carefully set up to make the price of this exceptional instrument accessible to all. Now, Sire has introduced the next generation of this instrument - thanks to customer feedback and active listening to players, even the smallest flaws have been fine-tuned and already hilarious features brought to perfection.

The bass is designed in a vintage style and has all the typical features of the Jazz Bass with which Marcus Miller is most often associated. The North American alder body is more often seen on instruments up to three times more expensive, but even that is part of the aforementioned concept. The wood has a typical, full-bodied jazz bass sound with a strong midrange. The ebony fingerboard with a bone fretboard delivers clean and clear highs, the edges of the fingerboard are now rounded for a more comfortable grip, and the radius has been flattened. The open tuning machines and the vintage adjustable string spacing are chrome plated. The tailpiece allows the strings to be pulled through the body for a tighter, more stable tone.

A common annoyance with cheaper basses is that the two pickups are identical in design. In this case, the pickup and neck pickup use different types of magnets and coils so that the sound reproduced matches their placement. The core of the bass is undoubtedly the richly featured active electronics, with a three-band EQ, a volume control between the pickups, and a combined tone diaphragm and overall volume potentiometer. In addition to boosting and attenuating the mids, the combination control for the mids offers a specific frequency selection from 80 Hz - 2 kHz. The bass is sonically very versatile and finds its use in all musical genres.
