The Precision Bass, Fender's first electric bass model, was introduced in 1951. It is therefore the first ever mass-produced electric bass. The "Precision" earned the "PB" name because, unlike double basses, the fingerboard was roasted - allowing bassists to play with more "precision". In addition, it offered a more specific and crisp tone. This model has gone through a long evolution over the last few decades and today you can find it in the hands of bassists from blues to R&B to rock.
As well as being a stylish affair at first glance, this bass has a classic 864mm gauge and a comfortable C profile neck that makes it very comfortable to play. The Classic Vibe '70s pickup configuration brings the best of the Precision Bass models and, along with the volume and tone control, delivers a wide range of sonic possibilities to use in any style.
