In the case of the Vulture model, the choice fell on the legendary Flying V rock body shape that has accompanied J. Hetfield since the very beginning. The body of the guitar is made of mahogany. The glued neck, composed of three pieces of mahogany with a narrower, fast Thin U profile, is joined by a Macassar ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Extra Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by position dots and a distinctive motif on the twelfth fret.
Two active EMG signature humbuckers provide the instrument's sound with the necessary fullness and precise articulation for vocal solos or chordal breakdowns, as well as the density and aggression needed to adequately sound like sharply hewn rock and metal riffs. The strings are mounted in the company's high quality locking Tonepros Locking TOM and strings.
The guitar comes in a carrying case.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera. Due to the popularity of these instruments, a subsidiary company, LTD, has been formed to offer popular models in an affordable option. However, even in the case of ESP-LTD guitars, great emphasis is placed on the quality of workmanship and fitted components.
