The body of the guitar is made of poplar. The bolted maple neck with a narrower C profile is glued to a fig wood fingerboard fitted with twenty-one Narrow Tall frets. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is traditionally facilitated by pearloid imitation dots.
Two proprietary single-coil pickups with Alnico magnets give the guitar a sound with authentic Fender character. This is also respected in the design of the drivers, where you choose between two circuits (Lead and Rhythm). In the former, both pickups are active with standard sound adjustment options via volume potentiometers, tone shutter and a three-position pickup switch. In the Rhythm circuit only the neck pickup is active, its sound can be adjusted using two rotary knobs (dials) with Volume and Tone functions.
The strings are mounted in a single-turn vintage-style tremolo and in tuning machines with also period-correct design. The visual aspect of the instrument is suitably complemented by nickel hardware, a four-layer pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell and the company logo on the headstock.
The name Jazzmaster clearly suggests the original intention and purpose of this electric guitar with its typical offset body shape, but it has gained popularity elsewhere - among musicians from the alternative music scene, from surf rock to indie rock.
