The GS Mini-e Bass is compact, lightweight, portable, very easy to play, and once you've tried it, it's hard to take it down. The smaller, Grand Symphony-shaped body helps deliver a bigger and more pronounced sound pressure. The top is Sitka spruce, the sides and back are maple. The sapele neck features an ebony fingerboard with 20 frets and a zero fret made from the proven NuBone resonant material. A compensated Micarta saddle is set into the headstock, and a patented design of polycarbonate pins with two prongs ensures greater string attachment stability. Especially for this bass, D'Addario made strings with a nylon core wrapped with phosphor-bronze wire. The result is strings with a pleasant feel to the touch producing a bright and warm tone.
