Cort's Grand Regal line features guitars in the popular Grand Auditorium shape (sized between the larger Dreadnought and smaller Concert types), offering a full, balanced sound universally suited for fingerstyle and pick playing. The GA-MEDX electroacoustic guitars are the basic quality models of the series.
The front plate of this guitar is made of spruce wood, the back plate and sides of mahogany plywood. The mahogany neck is joined by a merbau fingerboard with 20 frets and positioning dots for easy orientation. The lower cut-out of the body offers a good match even at the higher positions of the fingerboard.
Sound pickup is handled by the company's Cort CE306T preamp with four-band EQ, volume control, built-in tuner and Phase button.
String mounting in a specially shaped merbau fingerboard and chrome Die-Cast chassis ensures good sustain and tuning stability. Traditional design elements are complemented by an ornate mother-of-pearl rosette, ivory trim and logo on the headstock.
