The body of the KX100 is made of lime wood. The bolted maple neck is joined by a jatoba fingerboard, known as Brazilian cherry, fitted with twenty-four frets. Position dots make it easy to navigate its surface.
Two Cort Powersound proprietary high-output humbuckers provide the guitar with the necessary sonic drive and articulation. Volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments. The strings are held in a solid headstock and die-cast chrome mechanics.
