RME Fireface UFX II

With the Fireface UFX II sound card with 30 inputs and 30 outputs, you can transfer high-end analog and digital audio data directly to your computer from virtually any source. The device features digitally controlled high-end preamps, reference-grade converters, a digital recorder with direct recording to USB media, minimal latency, active jitter suppression, unique DIGIcheck measurement and analysis, and of course full Win and Mac support. All of this makes UFX the ultimate professional audio cat.

At the heart of UFX is TotalMix FX, a signal mixer and router driven by two DSPs with integrated effects (EQ, Dynamics, Reverb/Echo). TotalMix FX allows wireless control from an iPad using the TouchOSC app, available for download from the Apple Store. Clear control is provided by, among other things, a bright multi-function colour LCD display that allows you to view the level of all 60 channels plus the effects bus and completely control all key features directly from the UFX front panel.

In addition to a wide range of connectivity, the UFX offers digital I/O, Word Clock & MIDI, professional AES/EBU I/O working up to 192 kHz. Two eight-channel ADAT interfaces expand the UFX with 16 in/out audio channels. These interfaces can be used to connect to external AD/DA converters, digital mixers or effects units. The second of the ADAT interfaces can be used as an S/PDIF optical interface, making the UFX more flexible.
