ENGL Marty Friedman INFERNO Signature 100

The Engl E766 Marty Friedman Inferno is a signature model based on the ideas of metal icon Marty Friedman, best known for his work in the thrash band Megadeth or his collaboration with Jason Becker in the Cacophony project. It was with him that he gave birth to an expressive style of playing called "shred", which experienced a real boom in the second half of the 1980s.

This apparatus was two years in the making, based on the specifications of the various ENGL apparatuses Friedman used on his last record, Inferno. The design of the amplifier was also changed, with the front panel and metal bars finished in a hellish red colour. Otherwise, of course, it's Engl as we know it - a dense full-amp sound and a sea of gain.

The Engl E766 Marty Friedman Inferno is a 100-watt two-channel all-tube amp with four ECC83 tubes in the preamp and four EL34 end tubes.

The front panel offers an instrument input with jack jack, a Master control, and two Power and Standby switches. Each channel has its own Volume control, Gain signal distortion and three-band correction (Bass, Middle, Treble). Both channels have a Gain Boost function and separate Bright and Tone buttons. The rear panel offers outputs to 1x4, 1x8, 1x16, 2x8 and 2x16 ohm cabinet outputs, send/return effect loops, footswitchable secondary Master control, adjustable Noise gate control for Lead channel and footswitch connectors Z-3, Z-4 and Z-9.

The Engl footswitches, not included, allow you to switch between channels, activate the effects loop, the secondary Master and the Gain Boost function.
