New workflow, LCD diplay, Ableton Live 9.5 support are just a few of the improvements!
Create beats
Push lets you browse, play and add your own sounds to create beats, or access Live's extensive drum database. Further, play beats live with 64 velocity-sensitive pads (allowing for dynamics) and edit sounds and kit while you play, using eight touch-sensitive, range-unlimited encoders. You can also switch to 16-pad mode, which lets you play in real time, step beat sequences and adjust loop length, all at the same time. You can also tune the timing, speed and parameter values individually for each of the pads.
Play notes and chords
The pads on the Push device match the pitch of the note, providing a condensed layout that lends itself directly to a fresh approach to melody and harmony: large intervals are easy to reach, and templates can be played with the same fingering in all keys. You can select a key and scale with just one touch of a button, and bend or modulate the pitch with the touch slider.
Push also lets you step sequences of notes and chords: use the pads to select a note and then fine-tune the timing, create variations, or adjust the length and speed. You can even step automation: record a parameter value for each step to create rhythmic, quantized parameter changes that are only valid for specific notes in your loop.
Work with samples
Three independent working modes offer quick and flexible ways to get creative with samples. Slicing mode lets you instantly chop long samples and play back individual cuts on different pads - perfect for rearranging loops live or creating drum kits from recordings. Classic mode lets you turn melodic samples into playable pitch-scaled instruments, and you can also use encoders to define start and end points, as well as accents, reverb, sustain and release. In One Shot mode, samples are played in mono from start to finish, no matter how long you hold the pad - ideal for playing percussion. You can also transpose the sample you're playing without restarting it, allowing you to transform melodic phrases into entirely new melodies.
Beautiful and playable
All aspects about Push have been carefully thought out to give you an even better playing experience. The multi-coloured display adapts to show exactly what you need without distraction, so that you don't lose the thread and fall out of the flow of creativity. New pads have been carefully designed for Push that are softer, smoother to the touch and more responsive - perfect for creating expressive beats and melodies.
Push is as usable at home in the studio as it is on stage. Let your performances be totally immersed by switching between improvising with loops and playing drums, notes and chords - all from one playing surface.
Seamlessly integrated with Live 9.5
Using Push, you can trigger clips and scenes, tweak device parameters, and control input and output levels in the mixing console - Live can record every moment. If you look at your computer screen, you'll find your music already neatly laid out in Live - the software that's been driving your work all along.
