The Super-Sonic is a machine that all guitarists looking for a versatile combo with a classic tube sound will love. Its clean channel offers a traditional "Fender" sound, while the second channel can play anything from bluesy overdrive to seriously thick hi-gain distortion. With a reasonable 22 watts of power and the use of a 12-inch Fender Lightning Bolt speaker manufactured by Eminence, the Super-Sonic is suitable for both the rehearsal room and club stages, and will do just as well in a home environment.
All controls are located on the front of the birch and maple plywood cabinet top. Behind the input for you instrument, there is a clean channel volume control and a two-band EQ consisting of Treble and Bass potentiometers. For this channel, a small switch allows you to choose between two tone characteristics.
The second channel has two Gain potentiometers in addition to the volume, bass, mid and treble controls. This allows you to set the desired tone very precisely. The common control for both channels is Reverb, which adjusts the level of the spring reverb.
On the back of the unit you will find the effects loop input and output, a jack for connecting an external speaker and a footswitch input. The latter is 4-button and, like the case, is included. It can be used for switching channels, voicing the first channel, turning on reverb and activating the effects loop.
