The Blofeld Keyboard delivers the same thick, rich sound as other popular Waldorf instruments such as the Q, Q+, MicroQ, MicroWave and the flagship Wave. But the Blofeld Keybord can not only produce those organic analog sounds familiar from the Q series synthesizers (in fact, it can load all the sounds from the MicroQ), it also includes a Wavetable engine.
This unique type of synthesis is based on the revolutionary PPG synthesis from the early 80s. So at first listen you'll recognize the crisp, tight, but also ringing sonorities that instruments with PPG synthesis achieve. But no instrument has ever been realized in such complex technological simplicity but also elegance. The very clean control matrix makes it absolutely simple and precise to control the basic parameters. The LCD display in turn allows easy orientation in more than 1000 internal sounds as well as in frequently used settings.
