The body of this guitar is made of mahogany. The binding surrounding the body, neck and headstock of the guitar contrasts well with the colour of the instrument. A three-piece mahogany neck with a set-thru construction, i.e. a neck recessed deep into the body, is joined by an Ebony Macassar fingerboard fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets. Orientation is traditionally facilitated by position blocks.
Two EMG active humbuckers in the proven 81/60 combination give the guitar a juicy sound ideal for sharply chiseled rock/metal riffs as well as sing-along solos or ultra-fast shred. Adjustments include two volume potentiometers (separate for each pickup), a tone shield and a three-position pickup switch. The strings are mounted in a stringguard and pass through a fixed tailpiece with adjustable string height. Stable tuning is guaranteed by quality Grover mechanics.
