Zoom G11

The G11 Multieffect represents the most ambitious project of the Japanese brand Zoom in the field of multieffects, where it has been active for more than 30 years. The designers have taken the best of current and historic high-end guitars and turned them into all-new models of instruments with great, inspiring sounds. If you're looking for a practical multi-effect that will take your creativity to the next level, then you've come to the right place.

The G11 offers brand new virtual guitar types (Krampus, Redloom, Velvet, Muddy, 7 Heaven, Pollex) modelled after amps/combos from well-known brands, with sounds that cover everything from 60's blues/rock, classic rock and metal to modern sounds ideal for tuned instruments (7/8 string guitar) and slap used in djent. Up to nine effects and amp emulation can be used simultaneously within the chain.

Completely classic guitar effects are complemented by brand new modulation (PolyShift, Geminos, SwellVibe) and distortion (Razor Drive, Wave Shaper) effect sounds. The multi-effect also offers 22 speaker emulations plus 70 recorded IRs captured with different microphones and in different microphone settings. Not only can you choose from a wide range of speaker sounds, but you can also record up to 130 custom IRs. There are also 240 slots for presets/patches.

Sounds are meant to be complex, the process of creating and editing them is not - so you'll appreciate the colour five-inch display and drag and drop editing. The overall design of the multieffect is also as user-friendly as possible, with controls taken from classic pedal effects/ompboxes, so you'll get to grips with the multieffect very quickly.

The list of features is extended by a built-in looper with five minutes of recording time, 68 percussion patterns in different genres and presets, and an expression pedal that changes selected parameters in real time or works as a wah-wah/volume pedal depending on the settings. The G11 doesn't lag behind in connectivity either, offering a mono/stereo effects loop, MIDI compatibility, USB interface (to Host, to Device) for importing data/IR from a flash drive and direct recording to a DAW, Bluetooth adapter slot, mono/stereo outputs, headphone output, expression pedal input and Aux in.

Zoom G11 is compatible with Guitar Lab software (via Bluetooth or USB) with an extensive database of instruments, effects and presets created by well-known musicians. The multieffect processor is 32-bit, the AD/DA converters work with 24-bit/44.1 kHz resolution, the frequency range corresponds to 20 Hz - 20 kHz.
