The legendary K series cymbals are known for their versatility, from super thin and delicate to really heavy cymbals that cut through the sound of other instruments. Zildjian's Sound Lab recently added to them - by modifying the curvature and weight of the current line, they found what makes the K Series sound such a classic in all styles of music today. In contrast, the K Series cymbals, characterized by dark undertones, harken back to the company's century-long history. The sound of the K Series cymbals is deep, warm and expressive, but despite their dark character, they can be found in many genres, from jazz to rock.
The K/Z Special Hi Hat combines a medium-weight K top with a heavy Z Dyno Beat bottom with a Traditional finish, a dark to medium-bright mid to high sound and medium sustain. It features a crisp, clear sound.
