Yamaha Revstar electric guitars are a tribute to Yamaha's motorcycle division, specifically the modified "café racer" bikes of the 1960s and 1970s, which inspired the guitars' body shape and color finishes. A retro look influenced by the motorcycle and guitar designs of the 60s and 70s meets modern elements in their bodies - making Yamaha Revstar guitars fit the demands of today's musicians.
The chambered mahogany body of the Revstar RSS20 FG Standard Series electric guitar is adorned with a maple top and gloss polyurethane lacquer. The chambered body reduces weight and improves the resonance of the instrument. A three-piece mahogany neck with carbon bracing is glued to a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two jumbo stainless steel frets.
Two Yamaha VH5 "vintage-style" humbuckers give the guitar a warm, full sound balanced across the frequency spectrum that you'll appreciate in a wide range of musical styles - from jazz and blues to modern rock. The instrument's sonic arsenal is expanded by the push/pull tone shutter function, whereby lifting the knob gives the guitar a more aggressive "overwound" pickup character with accentuated mids and bass (passive boost). In addition to the classic combinations, the five-position switch offers the specific sound of pickups plugged out of phase in positions 2 and 4.
Stable tuning is guaranteed by the fitting of the strings in the company's die-cast mechanics and the TOM and strings cob. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by the black three-layer pickguard.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
