The Yamaha P-S500 is a digital piano that combines a classical musical instrument with modern digital technology in a beautiful design. The P-S500 features an 88-key GHS balanced keyboard that delivers the feel of playing a classic acoustic piano, including a faithful dynamic response, allowing players to express even subtle playing nuances. The sound samples come from Yamaha's prestigious CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand pianos, representing the best Yamaha has to offer. The instrument also works with a unique VRM (Virtual Resonance Modeling) feature that simulates the resonances of the strings and body of the piano, adding advanced depth and authenticity to the sound. To bring the sound perfectly to the listener, the piano is equipped with dual-band speakers, and if you like to play with headphones for a change, you'll enjoy an immersive binaural sound that will make you forget you're sitting in your living room.

Beyond piano sounds, over 600 selected instruments sampled with Super Articulation technology are available to the user, bringing incredible sonic detail. So you can enrich your playing with the sounds of electric pianos, organs, strings, brass and other wind and string instruments.

Intuitive control
The Smart Pianist app makes controlling your piano intuitive and fun. The app allows you to access all functions and complete configuration of the instrument via your Android or iOS phone or tablet.

Useful features
Red and blue lights above each key show you which notes to play, and when. This exceptional feature helps you learn to play and practice without having to learn to read music. And besides, it's much more fun. After all, if you're craving sheet music, you'll love the powerful Audio To Score feature, which analyzes your favorite audio recording and then generates its accompanying score for you.

Creative and classic accompaniments
The tool includes rhythmic accompaniment patterns (Styles) covering a wide range of musical genres, including pop, jazz and many more. A total of 370 patterns allow you to independently create a full band or orchestra sound that serves as a rich foundation for your compositions or live performances. If you prefer to perform, there are 403 built-in tracks covering a wide range of genres, from pop songs to classical pieces. You can play the tunes with accompaniment arranged by a full band.

Recording options and vocal effects
The piano allows you to record in both audio and MIDI format via USB, making it ideal for creating and sharing music. If you're inclined to sing, there's a microphone input with optimised vocal effects and even an auto-suppression function for the backing track, so you can try playing and singing really anything you like.

Package contents and recommended accessories
As well as the piano itself, a stylish music stand that can hold a large tablet is included, as well as a sustain pedal, USB cables and a power adapter. If you want a traditional three-pedal control, we recommend purchasing the Yamaha L-300 stand and LP-1 pedalboard, or a separate FC35 three-pedal. Optional accessories also include the MT-BT01 external MIDI converter or the UD-WL01 USB WiFI LAN converter.
