The creators have meticulously attended to every detail to capture a realistic and natural sound for each drum. In addition, studio room sound is also incorporated into the sound architecture. Several leading Yamaha artists worked with sound engineers to ensure that the resulting DTX6 sound image resembles the original acoustic drum kit at all dynamic levels and in all playing styles. In addition to individual room sound adjustments, the natural drum sounds can also be enhanced with Yamaha's high-quality effects.

Instantly adjust soundsThanks tothe Kit Modifier controls, adjusting the DTX6's sound is quick and easy - all sound requirements can be controlled with three intuitive knobs. The Ambience Modifier knob controls the amount of sampled real room sound that is added to the drum kit sound, but can also be used to add additional digital reverb algorithms. The Comp Modifier adds compression to the entire kit, while the Effect Modifier can control the audio signal sent to and returned from the two built-in processors. For complete control, you can easily choose which pad is sent to which processor.

Newly developed pads for a realistic playing feelYamahahas worked with professional drummers around the world to develop a new material, TCS (Textured Cellular Silicone), which takes the realistic playing feel to a whole new level. The silicone filling of the snare pad contains countless small air pockets under the surface that absorb the mallet strike and create a realistic bounce while not weighing down your wrists.

Extremely accurate expressivenessThe cymbalpads feature three sensing zones that allow you to trigger realistic sound variations depending on where you hit the pad. The ride pad also offers positional sensing, responding to hits in different areas to faithfully produce the audio response of a real ride cymbal.

Versatile practice optionsPracticemakes perfect - especially with the support offered by Yamaha's new DTX6 electronic drum kit. A programmable metronome, versatile recording options and ten practice programs along with more than 35 practice tracks of various genres are all included to perfect a player's groove. New sounds and greater dynamics demand absolute clarity, so the DTX6 features a new high-quality headphone amp that replicates the feel of playing an acoustic drum kit when the DTX6 is used with headphones.

Comprehensive connectivityForcomplete integration, the Yamaha DTX6 features MIDI and USB ports, complete with audio outputs. Through the USB port, you can transfer audio data directly to your DAW - Steinberg Cubase AI is included - and also transfer playing in the form of MIDI data to control other sound modules, plug-ins or for external editing. Audio data can also be conveniently recorded directly to a USB flash drive. Up to 14 pads can be connected directly to the module, allowing for more sophisticated setups. With the free Yamaha Rec'n'Share app, interacting with the digital world is easier than ever - connect the DTX6 via USB to a compatible iOS or Android device to record your drumming as audio or video. Rec'n'Share provides extensive editing features such as time-stretching for audio recordings and changing the mix of video recordings. There's also the ability to upload videos directly to social media platforms - all from the comfort of your drum stool.
