Vox Real McCoy Wah

New Wah Wah Pedal / HN277248
Vox introduced the wah-wah pedal in 1967 as a midrange boost feature of Vox instruments, inspired by a design intended to mimic the distinctive vocal sound of the trumpet choke, popularized by trumpeter Clyde McCoy. Nothing against trumpets and trumpet players, but the "quacker" found its target audience more among rock guitarists, including Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. And the rest is history.

The Vox Real McCoy Wah pedal effect is an exact replica of the original - both in terms of sound and individual components (coils, transistors, potentiometers, resistors, capacitors). This gives you the nasal tone of the original wah effect with the midrange frequencies highlighted.

Use a 9V battery (not included) to power the wah effect.
