On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, the VOX brand comes up with a revolutionary analogue amplifier that combines its classic sound with the latest technological approach. Compact, mobile and powerful, the MV50 amplifiers with typical Vox design feature a fully analogue preamplifier equipped with a Nutube tube. The latter is exceptional in its small size, low power consumption and delivers a sound that is indistinguishable from conventional all-tube amplifiers. In addition to the sound, it perfectly reproduces the dynamic character and feel of tube amplifiers, including natural distortion. Despite its small size and light weight (540 g), the MV50 is equipped with a specially designed Class-D rear amplifier that offers a sufficient power output of 50 W.
The MV50 is available in three versions:
MV50 Clean provides a clean, undistorted signal that retains its character even at higher volumes.
The MV50 AC brings the sound of the legendary AC30, including its specific distortion.
The MV50 Rock provides an aggressive hi gain sound typical of British amplifiers.
The front panel features controls for adjusting input volume (Gain), tone (Tone) and overall volume. The simple retro design is complemented by a VU meter for monitoring the output signal level. On the rear panel we find the headphone output, which also functions as a Line Out. This circuit includes a high quality speaker simulation. So you can plug the amp directly into a mixer during a gig or in the studio. Other features include an EQ switch for setting the optimal sound of your speaker. The DEEP position will especially enliven the lower frequencies of smaller speakers, while the FLAT mode is ideal to use in combination with a larger speaker to preserve its sonic characteristics.
