The AC15 all-amp combo is still prized by the music community today for its ability to provide guitars with a warm, articulate tone and the choice of two channels. This is no different with the AC15CH, which, when paired with a similarly vintage-styled cabinet (e.g. the Vox V212C), is a great choice for playing in clubs, bars and theatres, as well as for studio work.
It is a two-channel amplifier with 15 watts of power. The main panel offers inputs for each of the channels (Normal, Top Boost), separate volume controls, a two-band equalizer for the Top Boost channel, Master Volume and Tone Cut potentiometers for the end amp section, and controls for the built-in Reverb and Tremolo effects. On the rear panel you'll find outputs to external speakers (16/8 ohm impedance) and an input for a VFS2 footswitch (footswitch not included).
The long history and quality of Vox instruments is evidenced by the long list of world famous musicians and bands such as: The Shadows, the band that started the development of the AC, The Beatles, Keith Richards and Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones, Pete Townshend (The Who), The Stooges, Status Quo, Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple), Rory Gallagher, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), John Scofield, Brian May (Queen), The Edge (U2), Queens of the Stone Age, R.E.M., Radiohead, Oasis, Foo Fighters, and others.
