The Violin Schönbach company was founded in 2021 on the successful violin-making roots of the Sandner, Lupač and Skál families, who have been spreading the craft for more than 100 years in the region of the former world-famous Schönbach and present-day Luby near Cheb. This tradition is a guarantee of the very high quality of these instruments, well comparable to master instruments, but at a reasonable price. The company produces top concert musical instruments mainly focused on 4/4 - the so-called whole violin. They are designed and modelled by the Italian violin makers A. Stradivari and J. Guarneri.
The instruments are hand lacquered with alcohol varnish, and available in several colours or equipment variants. The material used is aged, exclusively used flamed maple from Bosnia and Herzegovina, spruce wood that has been selected in the Austrian Alps or Slovakia. It is therefore not surprising that the warranty period of these instruments is up to 20 years (it applies to the instrument itself, not to its mechanical damage).
On the Golden/Brown model you will find the aforementioned spruce soundboard, while the back, sides and neck are made of beautifully figured maple. The fingerboard and overall assembly of the instrument is made of South American ebony, where the pegs and stringers are decorated with Parisian eyelets. The fingerboard is of French type, of the highest quality. Austrian Thomastik Dominant strings are the most commonly used for a high quality and clear sound.
