Vintage electric guitars from the ICON series offer the refined design and feel of instruments played over the years, i.e. finishes with both subtle and more pronounced elements of artificial patina. The double-cut ST style model V6MRVG thus boasts a number of battle scratches, scratched lacquer and distinctive patina elements on all hardware.
The body of the guitar is made of poplar. A rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium-sized frets is glued to a maple neck with a pleasing "Soft C" profile.
Three single-coil Wilkinson pickups with Alnico V magnets give the guitar the authentic feel of the ST models. The middle pickup, with reversed polarity and windings, suppresses the typical single-coil noise at pickup switch positions 2 and 4. Adjust the character of the sound using the standard controls.
Strings are held in Wilkinson's patented locking E-Z-Lok and 6-point tremolo mechanisms with Wilkinson steel saddles.
At a very attractive price, Vintage's electric guitars offer excellent workmanship and performance that you would find in much more expensive models. These instruments play really well and won't disappoint you with their looks either.
