Teenage Engineering is a Swedish synthesizer company and since its founding in 2007 it has been churning out unique products that are not only sonically innovative, but also unmatched in design and control architecture. The company's iconic instrument is the OP-1 synthesizer, sampler and sequencer, which looks more like a toy - yet, or perhaps because of it, Teenage Engineering products are favoured by the likes of Beck, Depeche Mode and CHVRCHES.
The Pocket Operator (PO) range of pocket synthesizers impresses at first glance with its minimalist design. Most resemble a stripped down calculator crossed with your favourite digiharp. You'll find only the bare essentials - buttons, two potentiometers, a display, a slot for two AAA batteries, and a 3.5mm input that lets you sync the units with each other or with anything that generates a loud enough click. Another 3.5mm jack is for output to headphones, a sound card or PA. Being an electronic creator has simply never been easier.

Create a sequence, add drums and percussion, and play over a backing of lively, melodic lines that you can add expression to with the glide function. Of course, you can add effects and write their parameters in real time. This pocket synthesizer is a great tool on its own or in combination with other sound modules. Osmibit is back in full force.
