Teenage Engineering is a Swedish synthesizer company and since its founding in 2007 it has been churning out unique products that are not only sonically innovative, but also unmatched in terms of design and control architecture. The Pocket Operator (PO) range of pocket synthesizers impresses at first glance with its minimalist design. Most resemble a stripped down calculator crossed with your favourite digiharp. You'll find only the bare essentials - buttons, two potentiometers, a display, a slot for two AAA batteries, and a 3.5mm input that lets you sync the units with each other or with anything that generates a loud enough click. Another 3.5mm jack is for output to headphones, a sound card or PA. Being an electronic creator has simply never been easier.
