Tech 21 Steve Harris Signature SH1

Bass Guitar Pre-Amplifier / HN209793
Strangely enough, Steve Harris' sound has remained virtually unchanged over the last 40 years. During studio sessions and sold-out tours in the biggest halls and stadiums around the world, he has played mostly on a handmade custom preamp "The Alectron" and rare vintage Marshall speakers with EV drivers. However, transporting his equipment proved to be very challenging, especially when touring with his side project British Lion, so Steve approached TECH21 with a request for a pedal that could produce the same sound.

After testing the first prototype SH1 pedal during the tour, he wrote: "The tour is going great. And we owe it to this little thing. It's incredible! Andrew Barta is a real whiz because he managed to perfectly simulate the sound of EV speakers that I love so much. And it's all in this little box. I don't know how he did it, but he really did cram my sound into it. So good job, buddy."

Although the goal of working with Steve Harris was to find an easily portable solution for his tour with British Lion, the SH1 has become an essential part of Steve's sound for Iron Maiden's Legacy of the Beast tour this year. However, Steve Harris' new SH1 isn't limited to just one genre. With its incredibly wide sonic spectrum, it's sure to appeal to many bassists.
