Tech 21's SansAmp XB Driver represents the culmination of over thirty years of development experience. This pedal integrates key elements from their most popular bass products - the SansAmp Bass Driver DI, Para Driver DI, Q\Strip and dUg Pinnick Ultra Bass 1000 - all in one sleek device. So you can easily switch between traditional and innovative tones.
The SansAmp XB Driver is a 100% analog, two-channel pedal that is a veritable treasure trove of treasured bass tones. It's a sophisticated instrument with dual-amp, bi-amp and DI capabilities, featuring fifteen knobs and three switches arranged intuitively similar to the controls of well-known amplifiers. This makes it easy to create a wide range of bass tones without the need for years of study. The Clean and Drive channels are fully frequency-independent channels that can be used separately or mixed using the Mix footswitch. In Mix mode, the variable LPF and HPF filters can be activated using the crossover switch, allowing even more detailed adjustments to your sound profile.
The SansAmp XB Driver draws inspiration primarily from dUg Pinnick, but also pays homage to other bass innovators such as Geddy Lee, John Entwistle and Chris Squire. All were renowned for their use of unique and complex bass amplifier systems. As with all Tech 21 products, the controls are designed to give you maximum flexibility to achieve your desired sound with the hope that the SansAmp XB Driver will be a useful addition to your arsenal to stimulate creativity and achieve your best performance.
