Tech 21 Geddy Lee Signature 2112

Bass Guitar Pre-Amplifier / HN191413
Geddy Lee of the legendary band Rush has been using Tech 21 products since 2001, when the classic SansAmp appeared in his permanent gear. So it was only a matter of time before the long-lasting collaboration resulted in the GED-2112 rackmount preamplifier, which you can now try out.

The GED-2112 features two independent analogue preamps that allow you to set up two different sounds. While the Drive section is based on the SansAmp RPM model and takes care of covering a wide frequency spectrum, the Deep section delivers amplified bass for a thick, round tone, ranging from a completely clean sound to a faithful simulation of tube distortion. The two channels can be worked with flexibly, mixed together in any ratio, or separated completely and sent to different amplifiers. The four-band EQs were designed exactly as Geddy wanted, so the overall sound can be easily tweaked to perfection.

The rich equipment has not been forgotten either - there is an effects loop, a tuner output and a wide range of inputs and outputs. Particularly handy is the ability to connect two bass guitars simultaneously, for example for instant instrument swapping on stage.
