Doubled riffs, melodic licks or solos are a standard musical component in a wide range of styles - from country to rock to heavy metal. To achieve this effect, you usually need to collaborate with other players, or layer riffs using loopers and other devices. With the Quintessence compact guitar pedal, you can create beautiful doubled lines all by yourself and in real time.
This is a guitar harmonizer that will take your playing enjoyment to the next level. Its main asset is the use of MASH and TonePrint technologies. Four rotary knobs are used to control the effect. The Mix knob determines the ratio of the original to the effects signal, the Key knob sets the key in which you play, and the Scale knob adjusts the scale. The final Harmony potentiometer determines the interval at which the box will harmonise your line; it offers six single-voice harmonies, two double-voice harmonies and three slots for the TonePrint app. Using this app, you can create harmonising effects to your liking, or you can load one of the presets from the TonePrint library into the effect via the USB input or by attaching your smartphone to the instrument's pickup.
An interesting effect is offered by the footswitch-controlled MASH function, which, when activated, "pulls" the currently harmonised note to the nearest interval within the scale.
Hidden inside the box are Kill/Dry switches and a switch for the true bypass and buffered bypass modes in which the box operates. It is powered by a 9V adapter or 9V battery.
