The PLETHORA X3 is a slightly different TC Electronic guitar multieffect that takes full advantage of digital technology and offers a plethora of effects. In the TonePrint App (free to download), you simply choose from a wide database of guitar effects and then upload them to the multieffect via Bluetooth or USB cable. This way you can endlessly change the effects and create new and new pedalboards with a variety of sound combinations. The individual parameters can then be edited using the controls on the box or via the TonePrint app, which offers extensive editing options - you can edit hundreds of parameters to transform your pedalboard's sound beyond recognition, or dive into creating entirely new sounds and create your own TonePrint effects.
The PLETHORA X3 is the younger and more compact brother of the PLETHORA X5 multi-effect, which is easier to integrate into your pedalboard. It is equipped with three footswitches that can be used like expression pedals to control the dynamic parameters of individual effects thanks to the innovative MASH function. It offers the possibility of storing up to 127 presets, each of which represents a virtual pedalboard that you can equip with up to three different TonePrint pedals. You can then edit the signal chain to create the signal path you need. The speaker simulation function provides you with virtual speakers so you can connect the box directly to a soundcard or PA system. There's also an integrated UniTune tuner.
On the rear panel, in addition to the standard stereo inputs and outputs, you'll also find MIDI IN and THRU for controlling the multieffects with an external device and a USB interface for updating the firmware. PLETHORA X3 is wired as a true bypass. A 9V adapter, included in the package, is used for power supply.
