TC Electronic's bass amplifiers are all built on a very simple concept - to offer the bassist a compact, minimal-weight device that can produce a powerful, versatile sound and be relied upon at all times. You can be sure that this is 100% true for this model as well.
The BH250 is an amplifier that weighs just 1.8 kilograms, yet offers you 250 watts of power and can easily handle 4-, 5- and 6-string basses. Its tonal possibilities are virtually endless, as it uses TCE Bass TonePrint technology to easily load new sound presets into it. These are free and available online.
The instrument itself is very simple. On the front there is only an input for you instrument with switchable sensitivity, a three-band equalizer and a volume control. These basic controls are complemented by a TonePrint potentiometer, which you use to control the settings of parameters related to the TonePrint preset you're using, such as the intensity of the effect. Finally, there's the Mute switch for silent tuning and the tuner's LEDs.
On the back of the amp you'll find a footswitch input, a Speakon output when you connect a speaker, an Aux-In for connecting CD or MP3 players, a headphone output and an XLR DI output. There's also a USB connector for connecting to a computer and using the TonePrint function.
