The Taylor GS Mini line offers compact acoustic guitars with a smaller Grand Symphony body and shorter scale, made by the world-renowned maker of luxury guitars in Tecate, Mexico. These are semi-massive instruments with the full sound of big guitars and the size of travel guitars that you'll love in the home or on the road.
The front of the GS Mini-e Translucent Black special edition electroacoustic guitar from the brand is made from Sitka spruce, while the sides and back are made from laminated sapele. The heat treatment of the spruce top (torefaction process) gives the wood greater stability. The mahogany neck is glued to an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty frets, the orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by imitation mother-of-pearl position dots.
The stability of tuning is guaranteed by the attachment of strings through the NuBone zero fret in the chrome die-cast Taylor mechanism and through the micarta saddle in the ebony headstock. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by the Translucent Black finish of the soundboard, which does not completely cover the spruce top, the firestripe pickguard and the copafera wood veneer on the headstock decorated with the printed Taylor logo.
The guitar's sound is provided by an ES-B active preamp installed in the back of the instrument, which is based on the ES-2 system developed by Taylor, a unique way of capturing sound using three piezo pickups placed behind the fingerboard. The preamp features a three-band EQ, built-in chromatic tuner and a clear LED display.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
